'Imaginar-se res', a dialogue between the poetry of Agustí Colomines and the art of Eduard Bigas
The Palafrugell Fraternal Center is hosting the presentation of a book that reflects on life, death, memory and nostalgia for the future.
The poetic word and visual creation are intertwined in Imaginar-se res , the new book by Agustí Colomines, with nine illustrations by the Palafrugell artist Eduard Bigas. The Palafrugell Fraternal Center hosted the presentation of the volume this Saturday, October 24, a proposal that establishes a dialogue between literature and visual arts and vindicates the book as an artistic object.
The work brings together thirty poems and nine illustrations that complement the texts and expand their interpretive possibilities. With a careful edition and an elegant design, Imaginar-se res invites you to enjoy reading and, at the same time, to explore the visual and material dimension of a publication conceived as a comprehensive aesthetic experience.
The collection of poems originates from a project that Colomines began writing in 2009 and resumed years later. The result is a work that addresses universal issues such as life, death and memory, with a special attention to nostalgia for the future. This look at time and expectations opens up a space to reflect on what has been experienced, what remains in memory and what is still possible to imagine.
Eduard Bigas' illustrations dialogue with the poems without limiting themselves to accompanying them, and contribute to building a shared universe in which word and image complement and project each other.
Organized by the Atrium Artis Foundation, with the participation of the Fraternal Center, Bonart and the Lluís Coromina Foundation, the presentation ended with vermouth and a conversation with attendees, who were able to share impressions about a project that places poetry and visual arts in the same creative space.
