The Tarragona Provincial Council Museum of Modern Art (MAMT) has celebrated its 50th anniversary with a great party open to the public that has moved art from the exhibition spaces to the streets of Tarragona. Under the motto Let's look, and something happens , the event has connected the museum with the Palau de la Diputació through a route that has brought together installations, artistic interventions, live music, dance, projections and participatory proposals. Around twenty artists linked to the territory have shaped a celebration that has revisited the memory of the center and has pointed towards a new stage.
With artistic direction by the scenic creator Judith Pujol, the proposal has converted several spaces in the historic center into stages for contemporary creation. The starting point has been the MAMT itself, where a piece by Alba G. Corral has welcomed the attendees, while Lluc Queralt has presented an intervention constructed from the museum's photographic archive. Dance has also been present with the company La Im.perfecta, accompanied by Magí Capdevila and Neus Pàmies.

The route continued along the streets of Santa Anna, d'en Granada, the Arc de Sant Antoni, the Plaça del Fòrum and the Passeig de Sant Antoni until reaching the Palau de la Diputació, a building that is planned as the museum's headquarters in the future. Along the way, several proposals have reinterpreted works from the permanent collection. CaldodeCultivo, Susanna Inglada and Quim Packard have established new dialogues with pieces such as L'Astrònom , by Saumells; the Monument to the Heroes , by Julio Antonio, and the Esfinx de Rosccof , by Josep Nogué.
At the Palau, the work Mobile Beacon , by Josep Poblet, has introduced a symbolic dimension to the celebration. Through suspended lights that indicate directions and guide the route, the installation establishes a link between the museum that has been and what is projected for the future. The piece will remain in the building as a witness to this relationship between memory, transformation and continuity.

Terrae's music connected the festival with the memory of the territory, while Meli Perea brought a proposal rooted in his Afro-Colombian references, rap and electronics. Gastronomy has also been incorporated into the experience with a creation by David del Campo, from Campitös Pastry & Choco, who has reproduced El Tapís de Tarragona , by Joan Miró, in the form of chocolates. The change of scale and material has transformed the work into an edible and shared piece. The lighting interventions by Manoly Rubio, the illustrations by Alba Domingo and the projections by Alba G. Corral on the facade of the Palau have completed the program.
The celebration was attended by the president of the Tarragona Provincial Council, Noemí Llauradó, and the Minister of Culture of the Generalitat, Sònia Hernández, who both highlighted the importance of the MAMT for the region and for the country as a whole. Llauradó highlighted the role of art and culture as drivers of knowledge, critical thinking, identity and social cohesion, while Hernández underlined the shared desire to open a new stage for the museum to become a national reference for modern art and photography.
