The Fornells-Pla and Conxa Sisquella Foundation, in La Garriga, presents until July 12 the exhibition Punts de contacte , a proposal that relates the works of Carme Miquel and Tom Carr with those of Conxa Sisquella and Francesc Fornells-Pla. The exhibition becomes a space for dialogue and perspectives between artists of different generations who, despite the temporal distances, share creative concerns and an experimental view of art.

The exhibition builds a wordless visual conversation, centered on elements such as light, color, space and movement. The works dialogue with each other in a subtle way, revealing affinities and complicity that cross eras and artistic languages.

Carme Miquel and Tom Carr, a couple in both their personal and professional lives, have an extensive international career marked by exhibitions, residencies and outstanding teaching. Carr has been associated with the Escola Massana for years, while Miquel has developed his teaching career at the Escola Llotja. Currently, both continue to give lectures and master classes, also as professors at the UIC.

The starting point of the dialogue between Carme Miquel and Conxa Sisquella is born from the impact that Miquel had upon discovering the work that Sisquella created during the eighties. Its chromatic, intense and suggestive universe awakens a new contemporary reading in Miquel's work, which responds with an innovative and personal proposal.

For his part, Tom Carr establishes an artistic connection with the mobile sculptures and colored stained glass of Francesc Fornells-Pla. The suspended forms and masses of color find echoes in Carr's creations, which revisit the artist's heritage from a contemporary perspective. The play between shadows, movement and stillness generates new interpretations and expands the meaning of the original pieces.
