Girona has once again become a great open-air floral stage. The 71st edition of “Girona, Temps de Flors” has closed its doors with a massive participation that exceeds 400,000 visits, thus consolidating the attendance figures of recent years and reaffirming the event as one of the most emblematic cultural events in the country.
For nine days, streets, courtyards, monuments and unique spaces of the city have been filled with color, art and creativity with a route made up of 113 spaces and 141 floral projects. According to the data collected until Saturday, the exhibition had already registered 395,565 visitors, a figure that exceeds that achieved the previous year and which confirms the excellent reception of this new edition.

The days with the most visitors have coincided with weekends and also with specific days such as Monday and Thursday, highlighting the cross-cutting appeal of a festival that continues to captivate local, national and international audiences.
The Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Economic Promotion and Legal Services, Gemma Geis i Carreras, highlighted the high artistic level and collective impact of the proposal. According to her, the success of Temps de Flors is the result of the joint involvement of residents, entities, volunteers, municipal services, security forces and economic sectors of the city, which make Girona a model of cultural organization with its own identity.
Neighborhoods, inclusion and spaces for everyone
One of the highlights of this edition has been the continuation of the expansion project towards the neighborhoods. This year, the Pont Major has been incorporated into the program with two new floral proposals, thus expanding the cultural map of the exhibition beyond the Old Town.
Accessibility and well-being initiatives for visitors have also been strengthened. Two Calm Space points have been set up —at the CaixaFòrum and the Barri Vell-Mercadal Civic Centre— designed to offer calm and adapted environments. In addition, a Rest Area has been created in the Jardí de l'Àngel and several areas with benches have been distributed along the route to facilitate breaks during the visit.
The exhibition has also incorporated an itinerary adapted for people with reduced mobility and 30 free parking spaces reserved on Berenguer Carnicer Street, thus reinforcing the commitment to a more accessible and inclusive culture.
Floral trade and creativity
Girona's commercial fabric has also played a prominent role with the 22nd Window Dressing and Interior Decoration Exhibition, promoted by Girona City Council to boost commerce during the festival.
The first prize went to Jon Cake, located on Rambla de la Llibertat, followed by Cottet Òptics, on Carrer de Joan Maragall, and Onix, on Gran Via de Jaume I. The jury also awarded several second prizes to Espai Barri Vell, Mus&Bombon and the Official Store of Girona FC.
In total, 32 establishments have participated in this initiative, valued according to criteria of originality, artistic quality, design, connection with the spirit of Temps de Flors and use of natural flowers in the compositions.
The awarded businesses will obtain special visibility in the next edition of the official festival magazine and also on the event's website.
