Curro Claret is one of the most recognized voices of contemporary design in Catalonia for his critical and deeply social view of industrial design. His career focuses on the creation of objects, furniture and projects that transcend aesthetic function to become instruments of change and social reflection. His work stands out for the habitual use of recovered materials and for a clear awareness of the impact that design can have on society.

With a practice that combines innovation and commitment, Claret has collaborated with social entities and groups in vulnerable situations, often incorporating them into the creative process. This participatory dimension is reflected in projects such as the Taburete 300 or other proposals based on the reuse of discarded materials, which acquire a new life through design.

T300 + For the love of God: design, craft and dignity at the Eat Art Space

Now, at the Espai Eat Art in Banyoles of the Lluís Coromina Isern Foundation, the exhibition T300 + For the Love of God is being presented, open until June 13. The exhibition brings together pieces of furniture created with the T300 tool, a triangular metal element with perforations that simplifies carpentry work and brings the knowledge of cabinetmakers closer to people without professional training in the sector.

This system has been specially designed to support groups at risk of social exclusion, turning the manufacturing process into a tool for personal recovery and learning. Many of the pieces have been developed in the workshop of La Troballa d'Arrels Fundació, an organization that works with people who have lived on the streets.

The exhibition also includes the project Per l'amor de Déu , a church bench designed to be transformed into an occasional bed. This prototype, made for the church of Santa Anna in Barcelona, exemplifies Claret's desire to place design at the service of the most essential and often invisible needs of society.
