More than five decades of career have consolidated Enric Ansesa as one of the outstanding figures of contemporary art from Girona. Born in Girona in 1945, the artist has built his own plastic universe in which black transcends its chromatic condition to become a space of experimentation, intensity and conceptual depth. His work, marked by formal rigor and constant expressive research, articulates signs, graphics, textures and materials in an austere language that concentrates a remarkable visual and intellectual density.
Ansesa is the protagonist of the second episode of the fourth season of Inclassificables , the Catalunya Ràdio podcast directed by Ricard Planas, which proposes an approach to creators and trajectories that question the established limits of artistic practice. On this occasion, the dialogue features the participation of Oriol Fontdevila, director of the Bòlit, Centre d'Art Contemporani de Girona, who provides a critical look at contemporary creation and its contexts.
Art critic, curator, writer and researcher, Fontdevila has developed projects in institutions such as the Fundació Antoni Tàpies and the Fundació Joan Miró. Since taking over the direction of the Bòlit in June 2025, he has promoted a line of work that links artistic quality with critical thinking and social commitment.
