Bonart Internacional 3 is presented at the Edgar Negret Museum in Bogotá
Last Saturday, September 26, the Edgar Negret Museum in Bogotá hosted another presentation of Bonart International 3 , as part of the magazine's presence in Colombia. The event marked another stop on the tour of the publication's third international edition and strengthened the dialogue between contemporary Catalan and Colombian art through art, territory, and the international circulation of culture.
The choice of the Edgar Negret Museum as the venue was no accident. The institution, dedicated to preserving and disseminating the legacy of one of the great names in 20th-century Colombian sculpture, allowed the presentation to be situated within a context marked by the relationship between creation, space, and memory. Negret's sculptural universe, characterized by its exploration of form, space, and the links between sculpture and architecture, established a particularly significant framework for a magazine that, in its third international issue, places Colombia as one of its main focuses.
The event also included the unveiling of a new work resulting from a collaboration between the Edgar Negret Museum and El Xupet Negre, a Catalan urban artist whose iconography has become one of the most recognizable symbols of contemporary urban art. This installation establishes a new link between Barcelona and Bogotá and brings El Xupet Negre's creation into dialogue with the legacy of Edgar Negret and the space that preserves his artistic memory.
The presentation brought together various representatives from the creation, cultural management, and dissemination of contemporary art. Participants included El Xupet Negre; Edgar David Buitrago Mancilla, director of the Edgar Negret Museum; Fernando Cuevas Ulitzsch, curator, cultural manager, and artist; David Plazas, representative of the Generalitat of Catalonia; and Ricard Planas Camps, director and founder of Bonart.
