The 13th edition of Figueres es MOU has ended with a very positive balance after four days in which contemporary dance and movement have once again taken over the streets, squares and various unique spaces of the city. From last Thursday until yesterday, the festival has turned Figueres into a large open-air stage with a program made up of around twenty shows aimed at all audiences, consolidating itself as a cultural proposal of reference in the territory.
The audience response has been one of the main protagonists of this edition. Throughout all the days, the festival has registered a notable influx of attendees, who have filled the different spaces where the artistic proposals have been presented. Among the shows that have aroused the most interest and expectation are Aleta, by Marc Fernández; Entre bous i vaques, by La Côte Folle; Manifesto, by Àngel Duran, and Salida de Emergencia, by the ADHOK company.
One of the most relevant features of this year has been the commitment to a practically entirely free program —with a single payment option—, a decision that has reinforced the festival's desire to bring contemporary dance closer to the public and make it accessible to all types of audiences. This openness, combined with a selection of top-level shows, has contributed to creating a particularly lively, participatory and close-knit edition.
