'Illusions': the strength of the line takes Monalisi Tot Art

The Línea Viva Team presents in Palamós an abstract and eclectic proposal that fuses artistic currents and materials to explore new forms of contemporary expression.

'Illusions': the strength of the line takes Monalisi Tot Art

Since last April 8, the Monalisi Tot Art Galeria gallery presents its new temporary exhibition entitled Illusions , from the Línea Viva Team, formed by the marriage of artists Montse Lucas (decorator and ATS) and Rafa Alfonso (decorator and EGB teacher).

These two artists, who decided to work together on the same works, currently sign under the pseudonym Línea Viva.

This exhibition shows the latest work of Lucas and Alfonso, who stand out for an artistic style that combines the abstract expressionism of the New York School, geometric constructivism, cubism and the so-called “abstract Pop Art Line”. The line becomes a fundamental element in their work: curved lines, planes of light and color, which configure intertwined plans. Due to their duality and eclectic character, both artists alternate these linear works with spots made with materials such as resin.

Most of the works on display are acrylics and resins of different formats (50 × 50 cm, 60 × 60 cm, 80 × 60 cm, among others).

It should be remembered that the Línea Viva Team, formed in 2018, held its first solo exhibition in 2019. Since then, they have participated in more than 150 exhibitions —including collectives, individual exhibitions, painting competitions and international art fairs— in countries such as Spain, Portugal, France, Luxembourg, Italy, Germany, the United States and South Korea.

This exhibition can be visited until May 30 during regular gallery hours.
