The jury of the Antoni Vila Casas Painting Award 2025 has selected the 29 finalist works from a total of 528 proposals submitted this year. The verdict is the result of the deliberation of a team formed by Bernat Daviu , Claudia Elies , Mariana Draper , Natàlia Chocarro , Bernat Puigdollers and Montserrat Pascual .
The selected pieces will be on display in a collective exhibition at the Can Framis Museum, which will open on September 22 at 7 p.m. The winning work will be publicly announced and the prize will be awarded at the same event. The artists selected for this edition are: Helena Basagañas, Sara Bonache Ríos, Jose Bonell, Pablo Bruera, Pep Camps, Carles Castellví Pau, Cristina Cebrecos, Sulé Duc, Gonzalo Elvira, Ramon Faucón, Mercè Hernández Carbonell, Juvanteny, Michael Lawton, Mercedes Mangrané, Yvan Mas, Morreres, David Ortiz Juan, Diego Pujal, Núria Rion, Martí Roca Balcells, Luis Alberto Romero Monasterio, Marcel Rubio Juliana, Joan Saló, Bego Samit, Alsino Skowronnek, Bego Terradas, Aldo Urbano Pérez, Maria Yelletisch and Laura Zuccaro.
As usual, the Vila Casas Foundation announces these awards on a rotating basis, alternating painting, sculpture and photography as the main disciplines. In this edition dedicated to painting, the awarded artist will receive a grant of €12,000 and their work will become part of the Foundation's collection. In addition, in 2026 they will have the opportunity to present a solo exhibition at the Can Framis Museum.
