Visits to municipal exhibition spaces will grow in 2023 and reach pre-pandemic figures. Awaiting definitive data, which will have just been collected in January, 4,400,000 people have visited the museums and municipal exhibition centers of the ICUB and the museums with a municipal contribution with municipal collections. This figure adds up to almost one million more visitors than in 2022, with 3.6 million, and is very close to the data collected before the pandemic, with around 4.8 million visitors in 2019, doubling the 2021 figure of around 2 million visitors. The Picasso Museum collects the most visited exhibits: Carmen Calvo and Miró-Picasso.

In terms of spaces, the center that concentrates the largest number of visitors is the Picasso Museum, with 1,032,400, once again surpassing the million visitor mark, which had not happened since 2019; in second place is the Born Center for Culture and Memory, with 888,800, and the Museum of History of Barcelona MUHBA, with 860,000 visitors in its various locations. Montjuïc Castle attracted 757,700 visitors, while 350,500 visitors passed through the spaces belonging to the Museum of Natural Sciences.

As for the most outstanding exhibitions, Carmen Calvo tops the list, with 350,800 visitors, and Miró-Picasso, with a forecast of 200,000 visitors, at the Picasso Museum. The Memories of the Pandemic relationship continues.
