Photography becomes, in the hands of Judit Luna Minguell, a tool for revisiting the past and questioning the way in which intimate experiences can take artistic form. In Lluna, no ploris , the photographer starts from the reunion with her father and the return to the domestic space of her childhood to construct a visual story that moves between memory, family ties and the fragility of memories.

The project, distinguished with the XXIV Young Photographers of Catalonia Award, proposes a personal approach to family history that goes beyond individual experience. The images raise questions about the border between the private and the public, but also about the responsibility that involves converting personal experiences into artistic material. Photographing thus becomes an exercise in review and awareness of the way in which emotions, relationships and spaces that are part of one's own identity are represented.

The series is presented at the Casa de Cultura de la Diputació de Girona until November 28, in an exhibition organized by INSPAI, the Image Center of the Diputació de Girona, which brings together the twenty-two photographs that make up the project. The exhibition is accompanied by a catalog that expands the dissemination of the work and contributes to placing Luna Minguell's proposal within the panorama of emerging Catalan photography.

The Young Photographers of Catalonia Award reinforces, with this new edition, its commitment to contemporary photographic creation. The call is endowed with 2,500 euros for the selected project, an amount that doubles that of the previous year. In addition to the financial recognition, the award offers the author the possibility of publicly presenting her work through an exhibition and a publication, two ways to give continuity to the research and facilitate dialogue with viewers.
