The figure of Antoni Gaudí continues to generate questions, interpretations and new lines of research. With the aim of deepening the knowledge of his work and the historical, cultural and scientific context in which it was developed, the Gaudí International Congress 2026 will bring together researchers, professionals and academics from different disciplines at La Pedrera, from 22 to 25 October.
The congress was created as an international platform to promote new scientific production, share knowledge and establish connections between fields of study, with the aim of broadening perspectives on one of the most unique architects of modernity. The initiative has the participation of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Consell Antoni Gaudí, 100 ans Antoni Gaudí and the Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera.

The structure of the congress is structured around two main committees. The organizing committee, made up of the promoting institutions, assumes the general management, institutional coordination and logistics of the event. For its part, the scientific committee ensures academic rigor and evaluates the communications presented through a blind peer review system. The scientific direction corresponds to Galdric Santana, from the UPC, and the team is formed by Enric Granell, Josep Maria Montaner, Joan Olona and Elena Fernández, from the UPC; Judith Urbano, from the UIC; Jordi Faulí, from the RACBA; Antonio Sama, from the UCM; Rosa M. Alsina-Pagès, from La Salle-URL; Josep Maria Vall; Maria Garganté, from the UAB; Francesc Torralba, from the URL; Chiara Curti, from the AUSP; Rossend Casanova, from the DHub; Jordi Portal, from the UPC, and Mariàngels Fondevila, from the MNAC. The multidisciplinary composition of this team reflects the desire to approach Gaudí from complementary perspectives and consolidate a research space capable of generating new contributions to his legacy.
