The Colombian trajectory of Bonart Internacional continues in Bogotá with the presentation of its 3rd issue, after the first meeting held in Medellín. The event takes place this Saturday, September 26, at 7 p.m., at the Edgar Negret Museum, a particularly significant space to host a presentation that proposes a dialogue between Catalan and Colombian contemporary creation based on art, territory and the international circulation of culture.

The institution constitutes a reference space to approach the trajectory of one of the great names of Colombian sculpture of the 20th century and allows the presentation of the magazine to be placed in a context in which the work, the museum space and the memory of the artist acquire a central role. Negret's universe, marked by research on forms, space and the relationships between sculpture and architecture, thus establishes a framework for reflection for a publication that, in its third international edition, broadens its view towards Colombia.

The meeting will also present the work resulting from the collaboration between the Edgar Negret Museum and El Xupet Negre, a Catalan urban artist whose career has turned his particular iconography into one of the recognizable signs of contemporary urban art. The intervention establishes a new link between Barcelona and Bogotá and places the creation of El Xupet Negre in direct dialogue with Negret's legacy and with the space that preserves and disseminates his work.

The presentation will bring together different voices linked to the creation, cultural management and dissemination of contemporary art. The participants will be El Xupet Negre, artist; Edgar David Buitrago Mancilla, director of the Edgar Negret Museum; Fernando Cuevas Ultizsch, curator, cultural manager and artist; David Plazas, representative of the Generalitat de Catalunya, and Ricard Planas Camps, director and founder of Bonart.

The event is part of Bonart's presence in Colombia for ARTBO and is part of an internationalization strategy that seeks to generate spaces for exchange between agents, artists, institutions and cultural projects from Catalonia and Latin America. In this context, Visions of Catalonia is also presented, promoted by the Generalitat de Catalunya and directed by the group's cultural manager, an initiative that incorporates contemporary craftsmanship into international dialogue and that brings together different approaches to creation linked to matter, territory and tradition.

After its presentation in Medellín, the arrival of Bonart Internacional 3 in Bogotá expands the magazine's Colombian journey and reinforces a commitment to establishing lasting links with the country's artistic context. Beyond its presence at ARTBO, Bonart proposes this journey as an opportunity to promote encounters, share perspectives and generate new connections between Catalan creation and the Colombian cultural scene. A dialogue that finds in artists, museums, institutions and independent projects a common territory from which to continue exploring the multiple ways of understanding and disseminating contemporary art.
