Laura Iniesta is looking for the secret order in the chaos
bonart cadaqués - 18/09/26

There is not necessarily a battle between chaos and order. In Laura Iniesta's pictorial universe, they are two forces that claim each other, two phases of the same creative movement in which form appears without ever completely domesticating what precedes it. The Secret Order of Chaos , which the Patrick J. Domken Gallery in Cadaqués presents from September 12 to 30, delves precisely into this ambiguous territory where painting does not seek to impose a definitive structure, but rather to find that point of equilibrium in which energy still retains its capacity to surprise.

For Iniesta, chaos does not equate to disorder, but to a latent power: that which does not yet have form, which escapes control and which contains multiple possibilities. His painting starts from this uncertain matter to construct spaces in which gesture, colour and structure establish a constant tension. To order, in this context, does not mean to immobilize, but to give each element the necessary space so that it can exist without losing its intensity. The composition thus becomes a permanent negotiation between the need to construct and the desire to let the painting breathe.

This way of understanding creation places Iniesta's work in a particularly sensitive territory: one in which art functions as a provisional refuge for everything that we do not yet know how to name. Painting does not resolve uncertainty, but rather welcomes it and transforms it into experience. Each work is presented as a fragile and at the same time intense architecture, a temporary place where the viewer can enter without the mystery being completely deactivated.
