International printmaking meets again in Cadaqués with the 46th Mini Print International

The competition brings together artists from all over the world and recognizes six works that explore diverse techniques and languages of contemporary printing.

The Mini Print Internacional de Cadaqués once again places contemporary printmaking at the centre of the international art scene with the celebration of its 46th edition. The event, open to all printing trends and techniques, maintains its vocation of turning Cadaqués into a meeting point for creators from different parts of the world.

The call is made annually through participation bases that are disseminated among artists, printmaking workshops, schools, universities and specialized media from all over. This international dimension has turned the Mini Print into a consolidated platform to give visibility to different ways of understanding printmaking and explore the expressive possibilities of printing.

In this 2026 edition, the jury was made up of the artists Francesca La Nave, from the United Kingdom; Irina Silvestrova-Sadlowski, from Germany; Camilla Morrill, from France; Timo Ehmke, also from Germany, and María Luisa Estrada Sánchez, from Mexico. After assessing the proposals submitted, the jury chose six winning works by vote that show the diversity of techniques that characterizes the contest.

The first recognition was for Moon – 2 , an etching and aquatint by Kanako Urano, an artist from Japan. The piece exemplifies the ability of printmaking to work with different intensities, textures and nuances within the same graphic language.

The second prize went to Scarlet ground , a screenprint by Bernadette Madden, from Ireland. The screenprinting technique thus expands the diversity of procedures present in this edition and highlights the possibilities of contemporary printing.

Bärenspinner , an aquatint by Barbara Keeris, from Switzerland, has also been selected among the winning works, while Catalan artist M. Teresa Soler Alsina, representing Spain, has been recognized for Camí incert , a proposal made using embossing and collage.

The selection is completed with Silence – III , a woodcut by Roslyn Kean, from Australia, and Flow – XI , a brick etching by Pál Csaba, from Hungary. Six works, six artists and six different ways of approaching printmaking that highlight the technical and conceptual richness of contemporary engraving.
