An August full of good music at the 26th edition of the Cap Roig Festival
After the concerts by Café Quijano and Diana Krall, the festival faces its final weeks with a program headlined by artists such as Antonio Orozco, Pablo López, Mika, Rosario, Luz Casal and Miguel Ríos.
On July 24, the musical group Café Quijano played their first performance at the Cap Roig Festival with a concert in which they reviewed some of the greatest hits of their career and presented the songs from Miami 1990 , their latest album. During the performance, the trio from León once again demonstrated the solidity of a live performance in which pop-rock and bolero coexist naturally. The repertoire covered different stages of their career and reaffirmed the artistic personality that has defined their career for more than two decades.
On the other hand, on July 25, Canadian pianist and singer Diana Krall performed at the Cap Roig Festival accompanied by Jay Bellerose (drums), Dennis Crouch (double bass) and Marc Ribot (guitar). Winner of two Grammy Awards and ten Juno Awards, Krall is the only jazz singer to have eight of her albums debut at number one on the Billboard Jazz Albums chart, consolidating her as one of the great figures of international jazz.
Looking ahead to the coming weeks, the program for the next few days includes performances by such recognized figures as Miki Núñez, Taburete, Antonio Orozco, Juan Diego Flórez, Valeria Castro, Lax'n'Busto, Pablo López, Mika, El Último de la Fila, Rosario, Malú, 31 FAM, Luz Casal, Ana Torroja and the festival will conclude with the performance of Miguel Ríos on August 18.
As for tickets for the upcoming concerts, they continue to be on sale through the Cap Roig Festival 2026 website, although some shows have already sold out, which demonstrates the success of this edition.
With this new musical programming, the Cap Roig Festival, in Calella de Palafrugell, reaffirms itself as one of the essential cultural events of the summer in Catalonia, as it attracts thousands of visitors and places the Costa Brava as the epicenter of live music.
