The Menorcan summer finds one of its points of maximum artistic intensity at the Convent Cultural Center of Sant Diego d'Alaior, which presents three new exhibitions capable of turning this space into a must-see for lovers of contemporary art. Far from proposing a homogeneous itinerary, the program brings together three creators with their own languages who dialogue around concepts such as memory, identity, the interior landscape and the fragility of the human experience.
The Convent of Sant Diego is thus consolidated as one of the most relevant exhibition focuses of the summer in Menorca. The coexistence of the proposals of Miguel Tadeo, Lola del Fresno and Manu García offers the visitor a diverse experience, where each room becomes its own universe, but also another piece of a shared story about the multiple ways of inhabiting the present.
In Room III, Miguel Tadeo displays figurative painting that eschews any artifice to delve deeper into the vulnerability of the human being. His work, marked by a solid technique and a remarkable psychological intensity, situates the body and portrait as territories from which to explore solitude, resistance and the capacity for transformation. Each composition transmits a silent tension that invites leisurely contemplation, turning his characters into universal metaphors of the human condition.

Room I hosts Topografía de la Memoria , by Lola del Fresno, a proposal that transcends the traditional limits of drawing to construct a visual narrative rich in layers of meaning. Painting, installation, expanded drawing and multimedia resources come together in an investigation into the spaces that shape our identity. Houses, trees, gardens and figures appear as emotional traces of a memory that persists beyond time and distance. The artist turns the landscape into an affective archive, where individual memories constantly dialogue with collective memory.
The tour is completed by the proposal by Manu García, installed in Room II, which provides a markedly autobiographical perspective. His work establishes an exercise in reflection on the construction of the self from a contemporary sensibility, enriching the exhibition with an intimate approach that expands the plurality of registers present in the Convent of San Diego.
Beyond the individual quality of each of the artists, the success of the programming lies in the ability to generate a dialogue between three creative practices that share the same desire: to turn art into a tool for understanding the physical and emotional spaces we inhabit. The result is a coherent, demanding and accessible journey that invites visitors to establish their own connections between the works.
The exhibitions by Miguel Tadeo and Lola del Fresno can be visited until September 13, while Manu García's proposal will remain open until August 9. An excellent opportunity to discover one of the most stimulating exhibition projects of the season and confirm that, this summer, stopping in Alaior is also opting for a first-class cultural experience.
