The Art and Culture Center of the Provincial Council in Valls is hosting this summer From the knot to traffic , an exhibition by the artist May Criado that can be visited until August 28. The exhibition, which opens this Friday at 6 pm in the space on Jaume Huguet Street, 1, brings together a dozen ceramic sculptures that turn the knot into an element of plastic and conceptual reflection.

Through this selection of pieces, May Criado investigates the expressive possibilities of ceramics to address ideas linked to transformation, the passage of time and the relationship between matter, memory and experience. Her sculptures propose an immersion in the abstraction of movement within three-dimensional space, evoking networks, plots and intersections that refer to links, encounters, tensions and processes of change.

The knots, present throughout the exhibition, appear as forms loaded with meaning: they can suggest points of union, moorings, conflicts or paths that unfold and flow. In this visual journey, neural connections, invisible paths of memory and subtle relationships between body, time and space also resonate.

With organic shapes and complex textures, Criado's pieces establish a suggestive dialogue between the artisanal tradition of ceramics and the languages of contemporary art. From knot to transit is presented as an invitation to observe matter in transformation and to discover, in each fold and each tension, new readings on the bond, displacement and persistence of forms.
