The Historical Archive of the COAC Girona expands its holdings
The donation of Ramon Bosch Agustí enriches the documentation on Ignasi Bosch Reig and Isidre Bosch Bataller.
The Historical Archive of the Girona Demarcation of the College of Architects of Catalonia (COAC) has recently expanded its holdings with a new donation that complements the documentation of the architects Ignasi Bosch Reig and Isidre Bosch Bataller. This donation, made by Ramon Bosch Agustí, son and grandson of the architects, was formalized on June 8, 2023.
Since 2006, the Archive has guarded a significant part of his work, and now, with this new addition, knowledge about Girona architecture from the first half of the 20th century is enriched. The documentation provided by Ramon Bosch Agustí includes relevant information that will allow for a deeper study of the evolution of Catalan architecture during this period.
The new documentation covers various aspects of architecture, from the noucentista modernization to the post-war reconstruction, a period characterized by the scarcity of resources and the need to combine modern approaches with traditional construction techniques. Thus, the donation not only contributes to preserving the memory of these architects, but also offers a broader and more detailed vision of their influence on the architecture of the Girona regions.
