Last Saturday, March 14, at the Nit de les Lletres Catalanes, the gala that celebrates literature in Catalan and the most relevant awards in the book sector, Toussaint Víctor Borràs i Gasch was awarded the 63rd Folch i Torres Prize for a novel for boys and girls.

The author received the award for his work Animals que cauen del cel , which narrates the adventures of Aina, a girl who has paper figures fall from the sky that lead her to discover their origin. A plot full of mystery, surprise and wonder that combines beauty and loss, inviting readers to reflect on the small gestures that build special bonds. According to Borràs, " Animals que cauen del cel speaks, precisely, of the bonds that are forged through small gestures full of creativity."

The jury, made up of Oriol Canosa, Mònica Estruch, Guillem Fargas, Elisenda Roca, Vanessa Roca and Marina Llompart, highlighted the sensitivity and captivating nature of the novel, which encourages us to stop, observe and believe in the magic of small things.

During his speech, the author expressed his gratitude to Marina Llompart, editor of the publication, to the La Galera publishing house, to the illustrator Carolina Godina, as well as to his family, to the community of Sant Martí de Tous and to the colleagues of the Teatre Nu, his long-standing theatre company, where he also works as an actor, playwright, director and pedagogue.

The novel Animals Falling from the Sky was officially published on March 24 by La Galera, promising to captivate younger readers with its combination of mystery, magic and sensitivity.
