The Dalí Theatre-Museum in Figueres recovers eleven outstanding works from its permanent collection, presenting them within the creative context of the seventies, a key period in Salvador Dalí's career in which the artist devoted himself intensely to the conception and development of what would become the future Theatre-Museum. This stage is characterized by intense research and experimentation, in which Dalí explores new ways of understanding and representing reality through optical resources and innovative techniques, taking advantage of the scientific and technological advances of the time.

The eleven selected works reflect this unique combination of scientific curiosity and artistic creativity. The exhibition includes eight paintings —two of them stereoscopic, conceived as double paintings—, a drawing, an anamorphosis, a hologram recording and six photographs, all of which testify to Dalí's interest in generating visual experiences that challenge conventional perception. From Tuesday 24 March, and for a minimum period of two years, these pieces can be seen in the Sala de les Lògies, the space that until now housed the famous work The Madonna of Portlligat.

Through his techniques, Dalí manages to provoke a singular perception of the sensible world, combining his pictorial skill with scientific principles such as double image, stereoscopy and holography. In this way, the artist simultaneously represents external and internal reality, creating an experience that can coincide or diverge from the observer's perception, but which, in any case, generates a wide range of psychic associations. The viewer is thus immersed in Dalí's artistic discourse, discovering a vision of the world that transcends the limits of ordinary perception and that reveals the artist's profound relationship with science and technology.

"I am a geometer in search of the third dimension in the photographic image", Salvador Dalí.
