Living ceramics: tradition, styles, techniques, languages and innovation at the Terracotta Museum

The Terracotta Museum and the Association of Ceramistes of La Bisbal once again join forces to present the ninth edition of Ceràmica Viva , a collective exhibition that brings together more than forty workshops and professionals linked to this entity. The exhibition has become an outstanding event to learn about the current state of ceramics in the region and to highlight the quality, diversity and capacity for innovation of this creative sector.

With a clear vocation for annual renewal, Ceràmica Viva offers museum visitors the opportunity to discover unique pieces that reflect the wide range of styles and techniques that coexist today within the world of ceramics. From the forms and processes most rooted in the ceramic tradition of La Bisbal to fully contemporary proposals, the exhibition becomes a space for dialogue between heritage and experimentation.

The initiative also reaffirms the Terracotta Museum's desire to go beyond the historical perspective. In addition to preserving and explaining La Bisbal's ceramic past, the museum is consolidating itself as a privileged showcase for current creation, showing the vitality and constant evolution of this material and the artists who work with it.

The opening event will also include a unique artistic proposal: a musical performance with ceramic instruments by Jaume Catà and Marc Planells. This intervention highlights the expressive possibilities of ceramics beyond the strictly artisanal sphere, exploring its sound and performative dimensions.

More than forty creators and workshops are participating in this ninth edition: Anna Ballesté, Annick Galimont, Azalia Kokaeva, Bussoga, Carles Torrent (Carlets), LB Handicraft Ceramics, la Ponderosa Ceramics, Ferrés Ceramics, Yuma Ceramics, Est Ceramics, Lluís Puigdemont Ceramics, Pantaleu Ceramics, David Rosell, Didi Heras, Dolors Bosch Agustí, Emili Biarnés, Enric Olmo, Eva Piqué Ripoll, Fango Project, Gemma Lacalle, Igor Garai, Ivet Bazaco, Kypsela, Lluís Xifra Olivé, Manel Martínez, Margarida Geronès i Puig, Limón Studio, Marta Goula, Martina Rogers, Míriam Seguí Carbonell, Momo Vinyals i Candeler, Núria Efe, Núria Gimbernat, Pepa Benavent, Pilar Aldana-Méndez, Rosa Calull, Sampere, Silvia Alsina, Surant Design and Vilà Clara Ceramistes.
