The Bonart / Malart international magazine reaches its 2nd issue , consolidating itself as a written space for reflection and analysis on contemporary art with a clear global vocation. This new issue is published to coincide with the celebration of ARCOmadrid 2026, one of the great meeting points for international art, which reinforces the magazine's desire to open up to new geographies, contexts and perspectives.

The issue articulates two major editorial aspects that construct a panorama of the international art scene, with special attention to Latin America, Spain and Portugal. Through reports, interviews and analyses, the publication collects moments, projects and dynamics that define the present of contemporary art in these territories, establishing connections between diverse cultural contexts.

Among the highlighted contents we find monographs dedicated to major events in contemporary art, such as the upcoming Venice Biennale and the Malta Biennale , which allow us to anticipate some of the conceptual and artistic lines that will mark the international debate in the coming years. These dossiers are joined by opinion articles, reports and the Glops Biennial section, which offer critical readings and diverse perspectives on current artistic events.

Two covers, two looks

The new issue also stands out for its two covers, which function as a statement of intent for the magazine: a combination of conceptual reflection and visual strength.

The cover of Malart presents an image of the view from the exhibition A Shot in the Eye. The Century Blind's Spot by Andreas M. Kaufmann, produced by Malpaís in Barcelona in 2023. This proposal points to a critical reading of the blind spots of our time, evoking the need to review the visual and cultural narratives of the 21st century.

The cover of Bonart, on the other hand, is starring the work Mà Connectada by the artist Eulàlia Valldosera, a piece that symbolizes the relationship between body, technology and perception.
