The big day has arrived! Zona Maco, Latin America's largest art fair platform, is open until February 8th. The 2026 edition is being held at the Citibanamex Center in Mexico City, bringing together galleries, artists, and collectors from around the world. During the fair, visitors can discover the latest in contemporary art, as well as a carefully curated selection of photography and antiques, solidifying Zona Maco's position as a key meeting point for the international art market and scene.
The 22nd edition, in 2026, will be directed by Direlia Lazo from Havana and will feature a Zona Maco selection committee comprised of Teófilo Cohen, Karen Huber, Lauren Kelly, Ben Loveless, and Guilherme Simões de Assis. The fair has established itself as a meeting point for artists, galleries, and collectors, and remains one of the most influential cultural projects in Latin America, capable of setting trends and fostering dialogue around contemporary art.

This year, more than 200 galleries from the Americas and Europe will gather, transforming Mexico City into the art capital from February 4th to 8th with a general section, in addition to Zona Maco Ejes, Zsona Maco Arte Moderno, and Zsona Maco Sur. The contemporary art section, curated by Aimé Iglesias, is one of the conceptual pillars of Zsona Maco 2026. Her approach understands contemporary art as a language of global exchange, capable of connecting diverse social, political, and cultural contexts.
From Spain, galleries such as Alzueta Gallery and Galería Senda from Barcelona; Erhardt Flórez, Fernando Pradilla, Galería La Caja Negra, Travesía Cuatro, Albarrán Bourdais, Río & Meñaka and Max Estrella from Madrid; CarrerasMúgica from Bilbao; and La Bibi + Reus from Palma de Mallorca will participate, showcasing the diversity and dynamism of the Spanish art scene at Zona Msaco 2026.
