The Palau Robert in Barcelona is hosting the exhibition El Ciervo. 75 years of free thought and culture until January 18, which commemorates the 75th anniversary of the magazine. This initiative arises from the collaboration between the publication and the General Directorate of Dissemination of the Generalitat. Sergi Álvarez, curator of the exhibition, explains that the exhibition offers both a review of the historical legacy of the magazine and a look into the future of thought publications.

The exhibition celebrates the 75th anniversary of El Ciervo, the magazine of thought and culture born in Barcelona in 1951, which since its inception has been a beacon of freedom, reflection and intellectual debate. Born in the dark times of Francoism, the publication dared to open its own path, with a courageous, independent voice and faithful to ideals such as sincere dialogue, justice, freedom of expression and the principles of democracy.

Over seven decades, El Ciervo has been a space where diverse perspectives converge, welcoming voices from multiple disciplines and ideologies, thus weaving a rich and plural community that embraces culture, politics, science, religion and major human issues. This trajectory reveals not only the magazine's capacity to reflect changes in society, but also its constant desire to provoke reflection and stimulate critical awareness, becoming a true mirror of the free thought and open spirit that has characterized its history.

The exhibition is divided into three spaces and five main thematic axes that cover the most relevant moments in the magazine's history, highlighting the valuable documentary heritage that it has accumulated over 75 years. El Ciervo describes itself as "a leisurely way of observing the world with a critical spirit, without bitterness, and with the genuine desire to understand others". From its editorial office at Calvet Street, 56, in the Barcelona neighborhood of Galvany, El Ciervo has consolidated itself as the longest-running cultural magazine in Catalonia and Spain, becoming a living and privileged witness to the country's social and cultural evolution.
