On September 27, the Sant Cugat Museum will become the setting for an encounter where words, voices and gestures intertwine under the title Octàvia or the praise/strategy of love , a proposal curated by Marta Pol Rigau. This artistic action calls for different perspectives and sensibilities that dialogue around love, understanding it not only as an intimate feeling, but also as a collective, political and creative force.
In this framework, the creator Eulàlia Rovira will unfold her poetic universe, nara is neus will contribute her sound and performative research, and Marta Domínguez Sensada (C72R) will open a space for experimentation where the body and the word intersect. The meeting is completed with the presence of Neus Masdeu, who with her sensitivity will contribute to expanding the echoes of this shared reflection.
Octavia's parable evokes her innate ability to maintain a fragile but firm balance between political and family pressures—in an environment marked by male presence and authority—and a deep desire for well-being, autonomy, and personal fulfillment. She reveals herself as a bold woman, capable of questioning and subverting the gender norms of her time, not through institutional power or public leadership—off limits to men—but through the courage to face her fate, to assume it, and even to defy it.
This gesture of resistance grants him the recognition of those around him: an admiration earned not by shouting, but by the wisdom of dominating emotions and making wise decisions, based on lucidity and inner strength.
