CONTEMPORANIA is the great biennial event dedicated to high craftsmanship in Barcelona, a unique event born from the collaboration between public and private institutions. The fair is a meeting point for artisans, designers and creators from all over the world, as well as for all those who seek to discover excellence in contemporary craftsmanship.

The Cultural Committee, in charge of curating the event, ensures that each edition brings together projects selected under criteria of quality and innovation. CONTEMPORANIA emphasizes artistic craftsmanship, showing a wide diversity of works that embrace disciplines such as ceramics, glass, wood or textiles, in an environment designed to highlight creativity and craft.

Beyond the exhibition of pieces, the biennial seeks to foster the exchange of ideas and the creation of networks between artists, designers and the public, reinforcing Barcelona's role as an international benchmark for high-quality craftsmanship. In this way, the city consolidates its identity as a creative and cultural capital.

From ceramics and glass to textiles, wood and metals, the artists participating in CONTEMPORANIA bear witness to the richness and diversity of disciplines that make up the current panorama of high craftsmanship. Each work exhibited is the result of a dialogue between technique and creativity, between tradition and research, which highlights the capacity of contemporary craftsmanship to reinvent itself without losing its roots.

These creations transcend their material dimension to become reflections on culture, design and contemporary identity, opening up new avenues of interpretation and aesthetic experience. These are not just pieces of excellence, but personal languages that, through form, texture and color, establish a bridge between craftsmanship and art in a capital letter.

With the presence of these creators, the biennial becomes a space for meeting, connection and discovery, where visitors have the opportunity to enter unique creative universes. CONTEMPORÀNIA thus claims craftsmanship as a living, essential and constantly evolving expression, capable of connecting with the sensibilities of the present and projecting itself strongly towards the future.
