The exploration into the metamorphoses of Vivian Alarcón's soul
On September 8th, the new exhibition at the H20 Gallery in Barcelona opens.
Vivian Alarcón, a glass artist, presents Alkīmiyā , her first solo exhibition at the H2O gallery in Barcelona. The exhibition invites you on a journey into the transformations of the soul, where early experiments with glass, natural feathers and fabrics act as a prelude to the twelve stages of spiritual alchemy. In these works, the soul becomes a central element, placing the viewer at the very heart of the metamorphosis process.

Alkīmiyā invites us to pause in this suspended moment, to inhabit the transition zone where the physical element melts and transforms into memory, while the immaterial begins to take shape. It is a contemplative experience that invites us to let ourselves be carried away by subtle perception, to tune in to the intimate rhythm of our own interiority and to open ourselves to deep introspection. Every gesture, every silence, becomes a whisper of intuition that guides us towards inner evolution, offering the viewer a space to reflect, feel and connect with the most subtle dimension of being.
The Barcelona artist proposes a gesture of extraction, separating the spiritual part from the material support to remain only with the essence, making perceptible what is normally invisible. The glass becomes a symbol of the crystallization of the energy of the soul: delicate and luminous. The feathers, with their flexibility and symbolic charge, act as a bridge between heaven and earth, while the tulle fabrics in flesh tones evoke the bodily dimension, the envelope that defines limits and offers context to the subtlety of what is ethereal.

Always inspired by childhood memories and fascinated by both surrealism and the mystery of the mystical world, Vivian now presents her most personal work to date, a deep exploration of the esoteric world that reveals a process of artistic metamorphosis. Her creative language evolves and transforms as she delves into the subtlest layers of inner experience, giving rise to an aesthetic that combines delicacy, symbolism and spirituality. In this first solo exhibition, Vivian invites viewers to immerse themselves in a universe of their own, an ecosystem where glass becomes a mirror of the immaterial and each piece emerges from the need to practice spiritual alchemy, a process of transformation and introspection that transcends the simple artistic object. The exhibition thus becomes a sensory and emotional journey, an invitation to explore the connection between matter and soul, and to discover the beauty that is born from the fusion between the tangible and the invisible.
