The Barcelona Gallery Weekend reaches its eleventh edition with exhibitions in 24 galleries in the city and presents as a novelty the FLASH program, which brings together 9 exhibitions that can only be visited from September 18 to 21. This year the festival will feature the participation of 24 contemporary and modern art galleries in Barcelona and L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, which will show the work of more than 50 national and international artists.
Within this program, Gerard Mas and Pathscope will be the protagonist at 3 Punts Galeria in Barcelona from September 18 to October 31. It is a retrospective look at the path taken, an opportunity to show the artist's most recent work alongside previous pieces and thus be able to contemplate the journey achieved with perspective.

Mas reflects on the materials that have accompanied him throughout time —wood, resin, stone, alabaster and others— and on the figurative universe that has given body and meaning to my work. This exhibition is proposed as an exercise in synthesis and critical perspective, a space where the pieces dialogue with each other and reveal the common thread that unites seemingly distant stages and processes. It is also an opportunity to delve deeper into his own creative journey and, at the same time, feed the desire and drive to continue exploring new horizons.
His work stands out for its formal accuracy and meticulous care in the creation of pieces made with traditional materials such as alabaster and marble, often lightly polychrome. The figures, with a realism inspired by great classical masters, present subtly anachronistic attitudes that generate unexpected tension and captivate the viewer.

Gerard Mas and Pathscope take over at 3 Punts Galeria de Barcelona in Fresh for Summer II which could be seen at the space from July 30 to September 13. Now it's time for Barcelona Gallery Weekend organised by ArtBarcelona where it highlights the role of art galleries as spaces for creation and cultural dissemination, places of experimentation and discovery that facilitate dialogue and encounters between artists, collectors, the public and institutions.
