The Jumex Contemporary Art Foundation, established in 2001 by Eugenio López Alonso and Isabel Alonso de López, has established itself as one of the pillars of contemporary art in Mexico and Latin America. Since its inception, the foundation's mission has been to promote the production, dissemination, and reflection on contemporary art, coordinating efforts around its distinguished Jumex Collection, the Museo Jumex, and various support programs for artists, curators, and the general public.

At the end of 2025, Museo Jumex is already ready to inaugurate its future exhibitions, starting with the works from the collection that begins on September 13 and will run until February 8 with a selection of pieces from the 1970s to the present day with artists such as Dan Graham, Phillip Lai, Abigail Lane, Juan Carlos León, Rafael Lozano-Hemmer, Teresa Margolles, Yeni Mao, Gordon Matta-Clark, Rivane Neuenschwander, Paolo Nimer Pjota, Berenice Olmedo, Frida Orupabo.

  • Gabriel de la Mora, 100 II Ca. Eu., 2025. Private collection.

On September 25th, Gabriel de la Mora's moment will arrive with La petite Mort . The exhibition offers a thematic tour of Gabriel de la Mora's practice over the past twenty years. Born in Mexico City in 1968, de la Mora has distinguished himself for his ability to transform materials through processes that evoke the alchemical, resulting in exquisitely crafted objects and surfaces of great sensorial appeal. His work invites us to contemplate how the everyday becomes poetic and the simple becomes sophisticated, consolidating his career as one of Mexico's most original contemporary artists.

The Tiger's Coat is a curatorial project by independent curator Rodrigo Ortiz Monasterio, which presents an exhibition where fiction and history intertwine. The exhibition explores the multiple facets of Tina Modotti, photographer, activist, spy, and enigmatic cultural figure, revealing the complexity of her life and her influence on the art and politics of her time. A new temporary exhibition at Jumex from September 25th to February 8th.

Elsa-Louise Manceaux's Voice Notes follows the same chronological concept; creating an installation, Elsa-Louise Manceaux expands the boundaries of painting by integrating it with speech, text, typography, moving images, and sound. For over a decade, the artist has transformed painting from a strictly visual realm into a media interface, capable of generating affective dialogues and sensorial experiences that deeply connect with the viewer.
