Chiquita Room is back with a bang and is presenting From the Veil to the Wing , a performance by Maria Freire Montané that will take place on September 5 at 6 p.m. This artistic proposal invites the public to enter a universe where strength and energy materialize and become visible through the body and space.
In From the Veil to the Wing , Maria Freire Montané explores the subtle connections that bind us and allow us to approach shared collective power. The performance unfolds through a process of experimentation and activation of pieces linked to her installation From the Thorn to the Needle , creating a dialogue between movement, object and viewer. Thus, the audience not only observes, but also feels invited to participate in a sensory and conceptual journey where strength emerges from interaction and connection with others.
With this work, Chiquita Room reaffirms its commitment to contemporary proposals that explore corporeality, space and the relationship between art and community, offering immersive experiences that transcend passive contemplation and invite collective reflection.
The artist from Vallès Oriental explores the concept of liminal space, paying attention to the subtle boundaries between the tangible and the invisible, and reflecting on the processes that connect us with our inner strength. His research is developed through attentive listening and in a close relationship with nature, where each element acts as a bridge between individual and collective experience. His work is based on a transversal methodology that organically combines performance, painting and sculpture, thus creating a dialogue between disciplines and forms of expression that enriches the audience's perception.

During this beginning of September, Chiquita Room closes two of its exhibition proposals that have captivated visitors with its singular and experimental look. The exhibition Mar enllà, mai enlloc will end on September 3, offering the public the last opportunity to immerse themselves in its poetic and reflective universe. Then, on September 6, it will be the turn of De la sang al foc , a proposal that explores tensions and transformations through a powerful and evocative visual narrative.
Once these exhibitions conclude, Chiquita Room will begin its new season with Cançó de bressol per espavilar una nena , a collaboration between Mari Chordà and Bruno Munari, which can be visited from September 18 to October 31. This work invites the public to a sensory and conceptual experience where poetic, material and visual narratives are deployed that awaken the imagination and reflection, reaffirming the space as a meeting point for contemporary and experimental creation.
