From August 29 to 31, Art-o-Rama will take place in Marseille, the contemporary art fair held annually in the French city. Among the participants is Bombon Projects from Barcelona, in addition to other spaces in the Catalan city such as Chiquita Room or Dilalica.
Art-O-Rama has significantly contributed to consolidating Marseille's reputation as a key point for contemporary art in Europe. It is also part of a network of cultural events that boost the artistic vitality of the city throughout the year. For this edition of Art-o-Rama 2025, Bombon Projects presents a meeting between the works of Natalia Suárez (Vitoria-Gasteiz, 1994) and Anna Irina Russell (Barcelona, 1993), two contemporary artists who, from different approaches, investigate perception, materiality and communication systems. Through a careful selection of recent sculptures and paintings, the stand is transformed into a place of convergence between their respective visual languages.

The humidity of the night is poisonous (2024) Natalia Suárez.
Natalia Suárez approaches painting as a space for sensitivity and perceptual exploration through drawing, which she incorporates into her oils to create a sense of immediacy and fluidity. Anna Irina Russell's sculptural and installation work explores unconventional forms of communication. Her practice is built on the bond between bodies, objects and materials, frequently using play as a tool to question and reconfigure established symbolic systems. Her works inhabit an intermediate territory—between the sensory and the unusual, the everyday and the disturbing—generating environments that simultaneously evoke proximity and uncertainty.

Third Time (II) (2025), Anna Irina Russell.
Together, the works of both artists establish a dialogue that goes beyond their respective media. Natalia Suárez takes painting into territories of ambiguity and spatial distortion, while Anna Irina Russell investigates how sculptural forms and materials can alter our ways of understanding and experiencing the body—both human and non-human. Their practices converge in a terrain where perception is destabilized and meanings remain open, inviting the viewer to inhabit zones of uncertainty and sensory exploration.
Chiquita Room will be present with work by Laia Arqueros and Dilalica will do it with Chloé Vandestraeten & Huaqian Zhang. The Marseille Art-o-Rama program will start on Friday 29 August in the Petit Plateau.
