Oscar Halloway and Neus Madeu present the A+A cycle at the ARBAR Centre
The cycle The Night and the Lightning is presented by Alexandra Laudo and the creation of the artistic tandem.
The A+A artistic actions presented by the ARBAR Center in Girona are here as a result of the process developed throughout the year in the Sierra de Rodes with a pluralistic research based on the anthropological, archaeological and biocultural aspects. An edition that will take place on July 19th where the cycle The Night and the Lightning is presented by Alexandra Laudo and the artists Oscar Halloway and Neus Madeu.

The artistic projects of Oscar Halloway and Neus Madeu that they carry out with the cycle A+A Artistic Actions at ARBAR will be based on different practices, interests and attitudes. Oscar Holloway will work around different phenomena and practices related to visuality in the context of the night, and with the subtle or temporary presence of light during the night. For his part, Neus Masdeu will carry out a set of actions related to the act of appearing, of showing oneself, of becoming momentarily visible, in distinction from what is not seen or what is hidden.
It is a reflection on vision, perceptual thresholds, attentive observation and that raises conditions of reduced visibility to find what is hidden or initially not seen. The cycle wants to be a platform for reflection dedicated to contemporary practices that contribute to deepening and expanding the idea of performativity, to investigate the dual nature of action art, on the one hand, the artist's face-to-face work -with or without interaction with the public- and, on the other, the documentation generated.
