Experimenting with matter with Dimitri Kosiré

Experimenting with matter with Dimitri Kosiré

Dimitri Kosiré is exhibiting alongside Francesc Ruiz Abad this July at the Castell de Calonge. The French artist occupies the entire space of the Sala Mayor and Salón Gótico, where everything is more abstract with the art than Francesc Ruiz Abad. He presents an exhibition entitled "A Pavarotti Sings Better on His Tree ." Textures, transparencies, and color define Kosiré's personal expression, always accompanied by experimentation with materials.

The Parisian artist with Ukrainian roots is multidisciplinary in the arts, moving from painting to sculpture, sometimes stopping at installations. He creates a series of works around the Calonge castle that deal with nature and origins, an element that constantly returns to Kosiré's work.

Painting conveys emotions and feelings, and this is essential for creating a dialogue between the gaze and the work. Before arriving in Calonge, Kosiré exhibited in China and South American countries. Kosiré began his theatrical career as an actor, but his artistic career began relatively late, specifically at the age of twenty-seven. A career that has earned him a prominent position in the current art scene. Two exhibitions that will leave their mark on visitors this July will be held at Calonge Castle, which will be open to view from July 5 to August 3.
