The Setba Award, which recognizes the creativity of people with intellectual disabilities, celebrates its fifteenth anniversary this year with a record edition. More than 1,100 works have been submitted, an unprecedented figure that consolidates this competition as the most important in Spain in its category.

After the selection process, the jury has chosen 29 proposals as semi-finalists. Of these, 12 are up for the main prizes, while the remaining 17 are competing for the Audience Award , which will be decided through an open online vote until June 20 at 2 p.m. You can vote through the following link: https://forms.gle/2rQurqicwfx8Q2SQ6 . This award is aimed at people over the age of eighteen with a minimum degree of 33% intellectual disability, linked to social entities throughout the Catalan territory. In addition to the financial reward, the award represents a real opportunity for visibility and recognition for artists who usually remain outside conventional exhibition and sales spaces. The selected works come from 13 entities from all over Catalonia: ACUDAM, ALPI, ARTransforma, Associació Alba, CO Bogatell, CO Les Corts, CO Paideia, FEMAREC SCCL, Fundació Ampans, Fundació Badalona Cap̧ac, Fundació Ramon Noguera, Fundació Sant Tomàs and Fundació TEAS.

The 2025 edition comes with notable new features, such as exclusive access to the Magistrals 2026 project, a training program designed to deepen the artistic practice of the participating entities. In addition, the Pigment Gallery will award an Acquisition Award, acquiring one of the works to integrate it into its permanent collection. With a fifteen-year history, the Setba Award continues to promote art as an instrument of social transformation and as a vehicle for a more inclusive and representative culture.
