The Casa Encedida supports the creation of young artists through the Generations program and within this framework of anniversary, celebration, specifically a quarter of a century, the center of Madrid creates an exhibition with artists who have been part of this history, curated by Ángel Calvo Ulloa and Julia Castelló.

Generacions has become one of the main platforms for supporting emerging art in Spain and the Montemadrid Foundation dedicates its annual exhibition program to reviewing history and proposing new horizons. ¿Adónde irá el pájaro que no vuele? hosts from May 16 to July 27 pieces, works and installations by artists such as Salvador Cidrás and Vicente Blanco, Pedro G. Romero, Nadia Hotait, Alberto Peral and Sussana Inglada, among others. In parallel with this gathering of fourteen artists, the exhibition takes off with the expansion to three more independent spaces for contemporary creation and reflection, with the participation of more recent artists such as Agnes Essonyi Luque, Sara Santana and Raúl Silva.

The etymological root 'gen' gives rise to generate, generation and generosity; these will be three concepts that highlight the commemorative exhibition within a context where the world (including art) accuses the endemic lack of long-term planning. The tour makes us reflect with the works exhibited in the rooms of La Casa Encendida, as well as Conciencia Afro, Araña and La Parcería (the three spaces of the urban fabric are under the title ¿Adónde iré yo que no te léve?).

Everything revolves around this idea of a selfless creation to seek to modify the world. The title of the exhibition is already an example of altruism that refers to a glass by Isabel Escudero where the two rooms connected by two pieces by Alberto Peral have created the museographic route, works made specifically for the occasion, except for the aforementioned one by the artist from Biscay.

The artists question the competitive logics of art and, within this creative path, you will find installations, recycled materials, reflections between elements, exploration of the intersection between art and education, but all under the concept of an expanded program with expanded generosity. Generosity is not considered a virtue, but as a critical exercise, of utopia and resistance. The Generacions program has consolidated itself as a reference for the Spanish artistic community with important support for emerging creation.
