Lourdes Fisa at the Enric Monjo Museum
bonart vilassar de mar. - 21/09/23

From September 3 to October 15, 2023, the latest work by the Catalan visual artist Lourdes Fisa (Corbera de Llobregat, 1964) titled Living with art will be presented at the Enric Monjo Museum in Vilassar de Mar. This is the first time Fisa shows its work in Vilassar de Mar.

The curator of this exhibition is Ramón Casalé y Soler who explains that the Fisa exhibition can have several interpretations, but "the main one is that of relating and cohabiting with the concept of creation, or something that is the same as enjoying the work of art very close, that you can observe, touch and feel part of it. That's why ArtLiving, a term coined by the multidisciplinary artist Lourdes Fisa, starts from the idea of integrating in the same space creative different ways of expression such as architecture, interior design and design".

The visitor to the exhibition can realize how the artist incorporates a new way of understanding art, since painting, engraving and stamping coexist in the same work through various supports such as glass , metal, fiberglass, wood, paper and fabric. For her part, the painter has affirmed that the important thing is to "enjoy art from emotion and experience". In Casalé's words, "Lourdes Fisa's work moves within abstraction, also being interested in the human figure from a schematic perspective. Gesture, matter, color and line join the fragments of letters, poems, symbols, cartographies, paths, crossroads..., everything that means discovering new paths, experiences and situations that serve him to achieve his aesthetic purposes.

All these ways of expression are part of his creative ideology, through painting, engraving, drawing, sculpture, enamel, photography, video or installation, and can emerge in the same piece the four elements that make up nature: water, fire, air and earth". As a parallel activity, a Dialogue with the artist has been scheduled for September 24 from 12:00: 00 noon.

Lourdes Fisa holds a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona specializing in engraving and printing. He has completed postgraduate studies at different universities in Europe and the USA and his work is in numerous public and private collections such as the La Caixa Collection, Fundació Vila Casas, Enciclopèdia Catalana Collection, Herzog August Bibliothek de Wolfenbüttel, HBK, etc. Visiting hours to the exhibition are from Tuesday to Friday from 17:00 to 20:00 and on Saturdays from 11:00 to 14:00 and from 17:00 to 20:00. On Sundays, the museum will remain open from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
