bonart sarrià de ter - 24/04/23

The multidisciplinary artist Edgar Massegú will participate in the eleventh edition of the Fête des Berger, where he will create a Landart sculpture with recycled and biodegradable materials provided by the community of shepherds in the Semmama area.

Organized by the International Association "Le Printemps International de Sbeïtla" with the support of the "Rambourg Foundation", "Islam Semmama Universal Chapter of the Mountain Culture", "Le Center Culturel de Montagne a Semmame", the Ministry of Cultural Affairs and the collaboration of the Division of International Cooperation of the Swiss Embassy in Tunisia, the party is a multidisciplinary and international artistic festival that, from its conclusion, will be able to give visibility to the world regarding the social reality that is lived daily in the Tunisian region of Semmama.

As part of the planned activities, on May 2 Massegú will create a recycling mural on the facade of the Swiss embassy in Tunisia to commemorate the centenary of the work 'Camel' by the Swiss painter Paul Klee.
Gar Gar Penelles, museumization of recycling

After his return from the city of Tunisia, the artist from Saarland will participate in the Gar Gar de Penelles (Lleida) with a public sculpture for the facade of the town hall, as he is one of the 13 artists selected from more than 358 proposals from around the world at the Penelles Urban Art Festival; from May 5 to 7. It must be said that the international Lleida festival this year has the participation of artists from Catalonia, Brazil, France, Portugal, Switzerland or Belgium.

And, on the other hand, Massegú has informed that the day after the inauguration at Penelles Town Hall, specifically on Sunday 7 May, he will make another public sculpture with recycled materials for the town of Gualba (Barcelona). The materials will be collected in the Gualba creek as part of the Let's Clean Up Europe initiative in collaboration with Gualba City Council and the Gualba CreActiva association.
