World Press Photo 2026 celebrates seventy years of history at the Franz Mayer Museum
The Franz Mayer Museum will host the exhibition World Press Photo 2026 + The Archive from June 24 to October 4, 2026. This commemorative exhibition was created specifically for the museum to mark the 70th anniversary of World Press Photo. The show presents a selection of the most representative winning photographs from the last seven decades, bringing together images that have transcended their original context to become universal testimonies of recent history.
Through this visual journey, the exhibition invites visitors to rediscover some of the most iconic photographs that have impacted the world and contributed to building the collective memory of different generations.
