Since June 10, you can visit the new temporary exhibition presented by the Mosaicart gallery in Girona, entitled Nocturn-Diürn , by the Girona artist Jordi Amagat (1956, Les Planes d'Hostoles).
This exhibition refers to the duality between the first part, which is Nocturne , in which a predominance of the color black with all its nuances can be appreciated, while, in the second part, which is titled Diurne , Amagat reproduces a series of anonymous figures that intertwine and relate to each other.
Jordi Amagat is used to working with all types of techniques, from collage, watercolor, acrylic painting, varnishes, wood and ceramics, etc. His work is characterized by a personal figuration influenced by historical avant-gardes, and has established himself as a prominent voice in contemporary art from Girona.

Regarding his professional career, Amagat trained between 1975 and 1977 at the Isidre Vicens Art Workshop in Girona, and has been working continuously since then. Since 1979 he has participated in numerous individual and collective exhibitions in Catalonia, as well as throughout Spain.
In parallel with this exhibition, you can also visit the work of the artist Joan Mateu, who is currently exhibiting at the Casa de la Cultura Les Bernardes de Salt ( Mar de Terra, Terra de Mar ) and which has been curated by Carme Simón of Mosaicart Gallery herself, as well as the work of Jordi Martorano.
Visiting hours at the gallery are Wednesday to Friday from 5 to 8 p.m., and Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Visits can also be arranged by appointment.
