From June 11 to September 19, 2026, the Girona Provincial Council House of Culture hosts two simultaneous exhibitions, as part of the collaboration they have maintained since ago more of one decade with INSPAI, Center from the Image from the Provincial Council from Girona, and the Center International du Photojournalisme of Perpignan. This alliance makes it possible to bring to Girona every year one selection of exhibitions of the festival Visa for the Image, that if celebrates annually in Perpignan in September.
The first exhibition, "Jean-Pierre Laffont: Photographer without ties", reviews the career of one of the great names in international photojournalism. Laffont began his career during the Algerian War, but it was in the United States where he developed most of his his/her work. The second exhibition, "Afghanistan: In the Shadow of the White Flags", is the work of photographer Sandra Calligaro and documents the situation of the Afghan population since the return to power. of the Taliban, ago four years.
