Exhibition of the multidisciplinary collective Jov'Art at the Benedormiens Castle in Castell d'Aro

Since April 17, the Castell de Benedormiens has hosted the new temporary exhibition of amateur artists "Jov'art", a multidisciplinary collective at the Castell de Benedormiens in Castell d'Aro.

This exhibition, which brings together works by young amateur artists with the aim of giving visibility to emerging talent in the territory and bringing the cultural spaces of the municipality closer to the younger citizens, is the result of an artistic and cultural project promoted by the Youth and Culture Units of the City Council of Castell d'Aro, Platja d'Aro and s'Agaró. The creativity of ideas and innovation are inherent to this group and, therefore, the youth becomes a first-rate cultural agent.

The works in the exhibition, of free technique and themes, are from students of the Riudaura Institute in Castell d'Aro, the artistic baccalaureate of the Sant Elm Institute in Sant Feliu de Guíxols and students who are studying an artistic subject at the Sant Feliu Institute. The exhibition is also open to young people in the municipality who are not studying at the aforementioned educational centers.

The exhibition presents a varied selection of disciplines, from painting, drawing, manga, ceramics, jewelry, candle making, mixed media, collage, reflecting the diversity of language and concerns of the participants of "Jov'art" and is configured as a platform open to experimentation and personal expression, with proposals that address contemporary themes and unique perspectives on the environment.

Some of the proposals that can be seen are the result of the participation of the youth group in the various creative workshops that have been carried out within the framework of the project in recent years. It should be remembered that in 2025 many painting, drawing, ceramics, etc. workshops were promoted.

This project, which was initiated in 2024, with the exhibition "Young Perspective on Racism", this year consolidates its continuity as a space for participation, creation and shared learning, reinforcing a line of collaboration with the youth collective that allows us to explore the artistic world hand in hand with those people who are building their future.

The exhibition can be visited in the coming weeks until May 10 during the venue's regular opening hours, that is, weekends and holidays from 11 am to 1 pm and from 5 pm to 8 pm.
