Art OnO returns to Seoul as a platform to redefine dialogue in contemporary art

As Seoul continues to solidify its position as one of Asia's leading centers for contemporary art, the third edition of the international art fair Art OnO will be held from April 3 to 5 at the SETEC Exhibition Center in the Gangnam district. This event returns with a renewed focus on fostering diverse artistic dialogues and expanding the traditional dynamics of the art market.

Inspired by the expression “Art One and Only,” Art OnO distinguishes itself by going beyond the conventional model focused exclusively on selling artworks. Instead, it proposes a multidimensional platform where commercial galleries and non-profit institutions coexist, thus offering a broader and more complex view of the contemporary art ecosystem.

This year's fair brings together 35 galleries and institutions from 12 countries, including established names in the art world such as Japan, Germany, and Switzerland. However, one of the most noteworthy aspects is the inclusion of regions rarely represented at Asian art fairs. Among them are the Rangi Gallery from Tanzania, the JECZA Gallery from Romania, and Makasiini Contemporary from Finland, which offer unique perspectives from Eastern Europe and Africa, broadening the cultural horizons of collectors and visitors.

Located in one of the continent's most dynamic cultural capitals, Art OnO has established itself as a key space for exchange among artists, gallery owners, institutions, and collectors. In addition to commercial exhibitions, the fair incorporates the participation of non-profit organizations, reinforcing its commitment to diversity and dialogue within a coherent curatorial framework.

Among the highlights is the presence of Galería Zink, which will present works by Catalan artist Cinta Vidal alongside other creators such as Anna Leonhardt, Cristina Lama, Minh Dung Vu, and Thao Nguyen Phan. This selection reflects the plurality of languages and approaches that define this edition, as well as the participation of Rafa Macarrón with Daniel Arsham, Jorge Galindo with Makasiini Contemporary from Helsinki, and Javier Calleja with Aisho from Tokyo.
