In the contemporary art scene, Marcel·lí Antúnez Roca has established himself as one of the most unique figures for his constant research into the link between the body and technology. Born in Moià in 1959, he was a founding member of La Fura dels Baus, an experience that marked the beginning of an artistic journey deeply linked to scenic experimentation and hybrid languages.

Over the years, his practice has evolved into a universe of its own, “performative”, in which the body is transformed into an interface capable of activating digital, mechanical and visual devices. Through robots, sensors and interactive systems, Antúnez constructs participatory works that question the limits between artist and spectator, and that place him as a reference in the dialogue between art, technology and corporeality.
Now, the artist lands in El Mèdol between March 14 and May 24 with Llum, natura i centrum est , an installation proposal located in Tinglado 2 that is presented as a temporary, walkable and constantly transforming camp. The project brings together curtains, drawings, figures, costumes and other elements developed since 2014 from collaborative actions in public and community spaces, articulating them in an open device that requires participation to be fully activated.

Beyond its formal dimension, the installation poses a critical reflection on the place of nature in contemporary thought. Far from being a simple setting, animals, plants, materials and territories become active subjects here within a shared imaginary. Between large drawings that function as open windows and structures that invite the journey, the proposal understands creation as a collective practice and claims nature as a space of resistance, learning and common imagination.
