On January 22nd, at 7 p.m., Bonart magazine will present its latest monograph dedicated to Joan Miró, a publication that proposes an exhaustive and critical review of the so-called Miró ecosystem. The volume analyzes the role of the centers, foundations and institutions that have been —and continue to be— determinant in the preservation, study and dissemination of the legacy of one of the most influential artists of 20th century art.

This special edition is part of the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Fundació Joan Miró in Barcelona and emphasizes the institutions that preserve Miró's work, reflecting on their responsibility in constructing the narrative, the international projection and the contemporary validity of his work. The monograph thus offers a transversal view that combines history, cultural management and critical thinking around Miró's legacy.

The publication brings together contributions from renowned specialists in the artist's work and career, including Rosa Maria Malet, Antònia Maria Perelló, Elena Juncosa, Joan M. Minguet, Juan Manuel Bonet and Martina Millà, among others. Their texts provide a rigorous and updated vision on the different models of conservation, interpretation and activation of Miró's heritage, as well as on the present and future challenges that these institutions face in a cultural context in constant transformation.

The presentation of the monograph will take place at the Miró Foundation Mallorca and will feature an institutional welcome by the director of the Foundation. The event will also include the presentation of the volume by Ricard Planas Camps, CEO and founder of Bonart. This will be followed by the intervention of Antònia Maria Perelló, David Barro and Josep Massot, who will address various perspectives linked to the conservation, interpretation and dissemination of Joan Miró's work, providing reflections from the curatorial, critical and institutional fields.

The evening will conclude with an artistic action in the format of a Miró-inspired video performance, conceived as a contemporary approach to the innovative, experimental and radically free spirit that defined Joan Miró's creative universe, establishing a dialogue between his legacy and current artistic practices.
