From November 18, 2025 to February 22, 2026, Barcelona, through the Vila Casas Foundation in its Can Framis space, welcomes the return of a key figure of the Catalan artistic avant-garde: Silvia Gubern Garriga-Nogués (Barcelona, 1941). After more than thirty years of creative exile outside the city, the artist, poet and energy healer presents the exhibition Splendor. Return to the Origin , an exhibition with 200 works that summarizes and reconciles her multidisciplinary career. With a career marked by innovation in the visual and plastic arts, Gubern now explores, with a maturity that combines experience and introspection, the themes of memory, vital energy and the return to creative roots, offering the public an experience that transcends simple aesthetic contemplation to invite an intimate and transformative dialogue.

The first room opens as an aquatic universe, a well of the unconscious that is both personal and collective, materialized in the sculptural fountain that Gubern created in 2001: a piece from which water flows in constant movement, as a reminder of the eternal circulation of emotions and thoughts.

The next room embodies air, a symbol of creative abundance and the ephemeral and eternal eaves of inspiration that run through the artist. Another space is dedicated to the earth, where Gubern unfolds her knowledge as an energy healer, working with crystals and painting on glass, a gesture she describes as a way of letting the drawings breathe, without ever completely trapping them. Fire, in a subsequent room, is revealed as a metaphor for divinity and light in its fullness; the sun, a symbol of totality, and the snakes, representations of vital energy and the latent potential in each life.

And, like an invisible thread that runs through the entire exhibition, the subtle air of the ether permeates the six rooms, conferring harmony, continuity and fluidity to the sensory and spiritual experience that Gubern invites you to live.

The exhibition curated by Assumpta Bassas Vila invites us to explore the depths of being and its connection with the universe. Her work becomes a bridge between matter and energy, where each piece seems to resonate with unanswered existential questions and with the spirituality that dwells beyond the visible. Gubern's art is not limited to form or color; it is an invitation to feel the invisible, to perceive the subtle thread that unites man with infinity, and to experience the fullness that comes from reconciling with one's own roots and with the vital energy that permeates the entire cosmos. In this sense, each work functions as a ritual of contemplation: a possibility of returning to the origin, of connecting with the mystery and, at the same time, with the splendor that art itself can generate.
