With episode 9 of the third season, Inclassificables resumes its journey and heads south to Tarragona, for a stop that is as symbolic as it is revealing: the Mèdol – Contemporary Arts Center of Tarragona. A space full of meaning, where creation and critical thinking dialogue naturally and become the ideal setting for a new sonic journey for the podcast.

This episode invites the listener to listen carefully, to let themselves be carried away by a conversation that once again demonstrates that classifying is limiting and that only by walking —and listening— can we approach the cultural complexity that surrounds us. On this occasion, David Escamilla and Ricard Planas talk with the visual creator of the life experience Ortésia Cabrera, as well as with Vicent Fibla, director of the Mèdol – Center for Contemporary Arts of Tarragona. Together they build a chapter that focuses on the symbolic exploration of identity, emotion and memory, relating artistic creation to the territory and the experiences that cross it.

Art is born from the desire to go beyond simple form to become a piece and a proposal with its own identity, unique and unrepeatable. It is a conscious attempt to dialogue with the time that surrounds it and with the place from which it arises, to root itself in a specific context and, at the same time, transcend it. Creating is listening to the present moment, reading the territory —physical and emotional— and transforming it into a singular experience that can only exist here and now.
