From December 5 to 7, L'Escala is transformed into a true stage for creation and imagination with the fourth edition of the Les Muses festival, an event that has already consolidated itself as a beacon of contemporary art in the heart of the Empordà. This event, born in 2022 with the desire to connect artists and the community, offers a multidisciplinary journey where exhibitions, installations, workshops, performances and participatory activities come together in a single artistic heartbeat.

The Empordà municipality is filled with life, art and creations thanks to the gaze of local, emerging and international artists, who open the doors of their studios, galleries and public and private spaces, and this allows the public not only to contemplate the finished work, but also to delve into the delicate creative process behind each piece. Painting, sculpture, photography, textile art and participatory projects weave a mosaic of disciplines that turn L'Escala into a laboratory where art is always breathed and touched in parallel with beauty.

Coordinated by Tania Hirte, Les Muses stands out for its community and inclusive vocation. Every corner of the town, from art centers and galleries to streets and squares, becomes a stage that unites creators, public and territory. The beauty of the Empordà landscape is integrated into the route, creating an immersive experience where art dialogues with the history and essence of the place.

The 2025 edition, focused on the theme of beauty, begins on December 4 at 8:30 pm with a vinyl session hosted by ThisOrder, while artist Pau Marinel·lo paints live, accompanied by a Clarete wine tasting and a tapa for attendees. On Friday, the creators will celebrate the traditional Christmas dinner “Moment de l'art és viu”, a space to share ideas, experiences and emotions.

More than fifty artists and fifteen spaces participate in this edition, which includes exhibitions in emblematic places such as El Gavià, Castell Carolingi, MASLE, CER, L'Alfolí de la Sal and Galeria Port 25, as well as the Open Studios with renowned artists such as Gino Rubert, Chloé Tiravy, Trinitat Alcaide, Carmen Dapena, Karlos Mayet, Zingre and Beni Ballesta. The interaction between art and territory, between public space and community, turns the festival into a unique experience that transcends contemplation to become an experience.

Les Muses is much more than a festival: it is a journey into beauty, a bridge between the artist and the public, an invitation to rediscover L'Escala through the creative gaze. Every street, every square and every studio is filled with energy, colors and stories, transforming the town into a great stage where artistic creation meets life. For lovers of contemporary art, Les Muses is an unmissable event that awakens inspiration and invites you to see the world with new eyes.
