The La Boca Museum of Contemporary Art (MARCO) recently opened Chronotopical Reality , the new project by Argentine artist Agustín Di Luciano, which fuses art, technology, and sensorial experience. The exhibition, designed specifically for the museum's gallery, invites the public to delve into worlds created and transformed by the interaction of each visitor.
The exhibition, on view until September 7, uses virtual reality as its main medium and artificial intelligence as a creative tool, thus enhancing the visual arts through unprecedented experiences. The installation revolves around two central pieces conceived by Di Luciano, renowned for exploring the boundaries between the visual arts and new technologies.
The experience takes place within a virtual reality capsule, designed by architect Fernando Fritz, which interacts with Melina Ojagnan's curatorial work, generating a journey where architecture, technology, and art converge in a single space. Curator Melina Ojagnan explains: "The work proposes an expanded drawing that inhabits a new framework of time and space. The artist models a landscape where art and technology interact to expand the limits of what is possible. The viewer experiences in real time an experience that feels as palpable and authentic as the physical world."

Inspired by the Hyperspace series, the exhibition displays monochrome atmospheres crossed by white lines that generate dynamic compositions, making the space come alive and seem to pulse like an organism. The tour culminates with Forest Goddess , a colossal figure whose skin combines natural and technological elements, symbolizing the connection between humans, technology, and nature.
The work addresses lived time and affective space, subjectively reinterpreting Bakhtin's concept of the chronotope. Each gesture of the viewer alters the image, transforming the drawing from a simple footprint into a shared process, where creation becomes a collective experience. Chronotopic Reality is a 4- to 8-minute immersive VR journey using the Oculus Quest 3 device.
Agustín Di Luciano, born in 1981, is an Argentine interdisciplinary artist, engineer, and entrepreneur whose career has been consolidated in the convergence of drawing, immersive 3D digital art, and artificial intelligence. Recognized for his ability to explore new technological frontiers applied to art, Di Luciano pioneered the first artist to create works within the open metaverse of Decentraland, marking a milestone in the intersection of creativity and virtual environments.
His work has been exhibited at numerous art festivals and exhibitions in the United States, as well as on various international platforms, consolidating his presence on the global art scene. In his hometown of Buenos Aires, he has also left a tangible mark through large-scale murals, most notably the one on the campus of the Buenos Aires Institute of Technology (ITBA). His work combines a deep interest in visual aesthetics with technological experimentation, transforming the way viewers interact with art and redefining the boundaries between the physical and the digital.
